Avoid Rogue Security Program SecureAntivirusPro

Written by OSAblog on Friday, July 3rd, 2009

As you have no doubt guessed from the title, SecureAntivirusPro is a rogue security program designed by hackers to con innocent people. Disguised as a legitimate antispyware application, this program advertises incessantly to the user, informing them that severe security threats reside on their PC. This program in itself is an infection, and should be removed at once to prevent further problems from occurring.

You will recognize this application by its many symptoms. Annoying pop-up ads, a slow running computer and redirection of your browser are common. You may also see that your home page has mysteriously changed, or that new shortcuts are on your desktop. SecureAntivirusPro hijacks your browser, sending you to websites you did not intend to visit. Frequently, your computer will freeze up, or you may even experience the blue screen of death. These rogues are nothing to fool around with!

Where do these malicious applications come from? Usually, they are installed through trojans when you download freeware, music, games and other software. They can also come from visiting questionable websites. The user is not usually aware that they are downloading anything that could potentially harm their computer, as these files hide in the background.

If left on your PC, SecureAntivirusPro is capable of installing additional malware. It will also track your search queries, the websites you visit and personal information such as passwords and credit card numbers. It can really cause serious damage to not only your PC, but your personal identity as well. Remove this application at once when you discover that it resides on your computer.

Manual removal is possible, but should only be attempted by an expert. This delicate process requires complete removal of all related files, which can be difficult as these files hide from the user and are extremely difficult to locate. A reliable antispyware application should be used to insure that all infections and parasites are completely removed.

Legitimate antispyware software will scan your PC for trojans, worms, parasites and other security threats. It will then remove them, and restore security. For best results, use a program that is guaranteed to remove 100% of security threats and infections with only one scan. An excellent product will also protect your computer from future infection.

Spyware Destroyer May Just Destroy Your PC

Written by OSAblog on Friday, July 3rd, 2009

Are strange things happening on your PC? It may be because Spyware Destroyer or some other malicious application is installed, and you don’t realize it. These fake antispyware programs look authentic, and have tricked many people into spending their money on what is a totally worthless product. They are simply rogue security programs that have no ability to help your computer at all.

When you start receiving aggressive notifications through pop-up windows that your computer is infected and security threats exist, don’t fall for it. Once you download the free scan, you will see the results which always show numerous and severe infections. These results are totally made up. Spyware Destroyer is not capable of scanning your PC in the first place, and it cannot detect or remove any type of parasite. What it may do is install additional malware on your computer.

Will you recognize if you have become a victim? You won’t realize it the minute it installs, but you will see symptoms very quickly. Other than being pounded with pop-up advertisements, there will probably be a noticeable slowing of your PC’s performance. Your browser may redirect to strange website, your home page may change, or you may notice new toolbars in your browser that were not put there by you. The danger lies in the software’s ability to track your online habits and personal information such as bank account log-ins and credit card numbers.

Where do these malicious applications come from? Usually from files you download such as freeware, music or videos. You may also get malware on your PC by visiting questionable websites. You don’t realize it when it happens, because these sneaky devils have the ability to piggy back on other software so that you don’t see it. In effect, it “hides” in the background.

If you get Spyware Destroyer or some other rogue antispyware program placed on your computer, you must remove it immediately to avoid further damage, and the possibility of additional malware being placed on your PC. Manual removal is possible, but not recommended, as it is a highly complex procedure. When you have problems with fake applications like this, get reliable software that guarantees 100% removal of infections, worms, trojans and other security threats with only one scan. Don’t take chances, get the best there is.

To scan your pc for free and find out if you have Spyware Destroyer click here.

Make Money Article

blogging sites For first time bloggers, a free blogging web site is a great way to get started in the blogosphere. Popular blogging web sites like blogger and eponym allow users to set up and host a blog without paying any fees at all.

This encourages people to start blogging, because the fact that one of these sites can provide you with all of the tools that you need to get your blog up and running without spending any money means that you have nothing to lose by starting a blog.

The fact that it is so easy to find a way to blog for free is one of the reasons why so many people who have never had any other kind of web presence before find themselves drawn to blogging.

By signing up with a free blogging web site, you may find it easier to get listed in search engines that you would if you were starting your own blog from scratch.

For example, google runs the free blog hosting site blogspot and crawls its pages very often looking for updates, so if you have your site hosted by blogspot you are almost guaranteed to be listed on google’s blog search engine.

This easy access to search engines can take some of the work out of promoting your blog, and can help you gain a following with a minimum of marketing effort.

If your blog attracts a large readership, you may want to consider moving your site. Many people feel that being hosted by a free blogging web site gives a blog a kind of amateur flavor that is fine for a new member of the blogosphere, but is not appropriate for a high-profile blog.

Having your own domain can help you make your blog feel professional, and finding a company that will host your domain is not difficult or expensive. Once your blog takes off, you will probably be able to sell enough advertising space to be able to afford to buy a domain and pay for a hosting package, and still have money left over.

However, it does not make sense in most cases to invest in these glossy luxuries before you have a sizable readership.

Starting your blog on a free blogging web site is a great way to build a following before you spend any money on your blog. If and when your blog becomes popular and you are ready to take the next step and purchase your own domain, your readers will follow you to your new home.

The fact that it is possible to use a free blog host like blogspost, blogger, or eponym as a kind of incubator for your blog is great news for bloggers
everywhere.

Network Auditing Protects Your Business from Cyber Attacks

Written by OSAblog on Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

Network Security has become increasingly important as companies both large and small are attacked by cyber criminals.  This article will provide you information about network auditing and how you can use it to protect your business.  Whether you’re a business owner, an executive, or an IT manager, the following information will be beneficial to you.

An average network security breach can cost a company between $90 and $305 per lost record, according to a new study from Forrester Research.  By monitoring your network, you can significantly reduce operating expenses and improve overall company productivity.

Are you prepared to suffer those losses?  Could your business survive a network attack that could shut down your entire operation for several days?  A recent survey by McAfee revealed that 26% of businesses require an entire week to get their company back up and running smoothly after a cyber attack.  Can your business afford a 7-day vacation?  The loss of revenue, resources and productivity associated with an attack may just be enough to put your company in the red and in today’s economy, not many businesses can suffer any more losses.

Network auditing solutions work to help you prevent, detect and solve security threats 24/7 - around the clock, all year long.  They can:

- Detect and solve network security problems
- Help you leverage investments in security
- Free up time for IT staff
- Secure laptop computers outside the office
- Generate auditing reports on demand

To deal with network security threats effectively, IT administrators need immediate access to just the right data and problem-solving advice.  The more you know your network, the more you can guarantee uptime and optimal performance.  With network auditing solutions, you can defend and regain control of your applications, minimizing the loss of money and productivity.

Network auditing solutions can monitor every computer in your network, looking for malware and threats, missing critical updates and patches, suspicious traffic and non-compliance with best practices. The instant it detects a problem, it gives you personal, step-by-step advice on how to solve it.
Network auditing provides a complete solution for detecting and eliminating vulnerabilities, including the following areas:

Unapproved Software: Ensures that all software applications installed on your computer networks are approved by your company’s security policy.

Suspicious Traffic: Detects abnormal traffic on your network that could indicate an attempt to access or manipulate your computers.

Intrusion Vulnerability: Identifies open ports or other undesired access points that could put your network at risk of intrusion.

Malware Protection: Protects your network with antivirus and other network auditing software; ensures installation, updates and proper function on all networks.

Updates & Patches: Assures all critical security updates and patches are installed, with Microsoft’s minimum protection.

Security Practices: Ensures all your computers are configured and used in accordance with best practices for network security.

Network Auditing Agents: Monitors your network security status and lets you know how to solve any problems it detects.

Virtual Auditing Assistant: Provides 24/7 security for your entire network at a fraction of the cost of human domain experts.

Pop up window

Written by OSAblog on Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

Did you get pop up window when you open a site?
Pop up windows were once caused by some malicious programs for advertisement purposes, have been overused and abused to the point where they are extremely annoying for most computer users. Usually, you would get pop up windows you left a website. In fact, some were designed so that windows would keep popping up enven you do not open your Internate broswer. And you finally had no choice but to restart your computer! Today, pop up windows are less used. Instead, respectable advertisers may use ‘fly-ins’ or ‘floating’ windows. These windows are more ‘gentle’ than pop up windows, and you can easily click the small ‘x’ in the top right corner of the fly-in to close it. Some, however, are quite annoying, have no way to close them, and either follow you as you move your mouse or scroll down the page.

Unfortunately, there are many sites that still use this advertisement method, and we are fortunate enough to have pop up blockers to stop them. There are other dangers besides the annoyance with these pop up windows, however. Most pop up windows use a scripting code called JavaScript to operate. JavaScript can be used to control the size of a window, and when it pops up. It can also be used to secretly harvest email addresses and even to send viruses.

A pop up window for no apparent reason is a sign that you may have ‘adware’ on your system. These pop up windows may show up when you are browsing, or even when you are not doing any browsing at all. Pop-unders came in between pop up windows and fly-ins in terms of technological advances - if a pop up window can be considered that. Pop-unders appear behind the web browser, and are not noticed until you either minimize the browser or close it completely - at which time you will be staring at an advertisement. Pop-unders were once able to bypass pop up window blockers. Fly-ins still are able to bypass pop up window blockers.

Because pop-up is so anoying, it also can corrupt your PC. So we’d like to know some ways to stop it. We will set our Internet browser and add some pop up window blockers to stop it. Is it really work? Most time it will work. But if pop-up maker install malicious software to your system via Internet, the window will keep poping up. Simply installing a Internet browser will not work. You need remove the malware! Cleaning the registry is most effecient way, because anware will reside in your registry and alter your registry.

Downloading an effecient registry becomes more and more urgent. I use Registry easy, you can also google some others.
