- Search engine marketing: Today there are two main types of search engine marketing techniques – search engine optimization (SEO) and internet marketing advertising (also known as pay per click advertising or simply PPC). PPC advertising is an advertising that appear in columns and rows (always marked as ‘sponsored links’) when search engine results page gives the search results. Advertiser must pay for these internet marketing advertisings on a pay per click basis. It means that anytime the web surfer on a search engine clicks these advertisements, a pre-determined amount of money will be deducted from the deposit they have created for the search engines. According to the statistics only 3-5 per cents of people who click on the advertisements are further converted to the customers. SEO is a technique according to which website’s content is created in such a way that it contains the most important keywords relevant to the site. It works in this way – when a web surfer is searching for a certain keyword, he or she is directed to the site. It becomes the target of each website owner to optimize the content of the site in such a way. This is quite cheap and effective.

- Ezine publishing: A lot of website owners publish different ezines and give them away free to the subscribers and with the help of this process collect a database of subscribers. If you want that your ezine was successful, it must contain a compelling content. Also you do not have to include the whole story into e-mail and send to the subscriber – you must include only a small piece of it, offering the subscriber to click on the link to get more information.

- Banner exchange: There are different banner exchanges marketing companies where website owners could swap space with the other websites without any charge. But this method is not very popular among website owners because the majority of internet sites owners prefer to use pay per click advertising and internet marketing advertising instead of banner exchange.
