Due to the fact that there is an ever growing population of malicious software plaguing the Internet, it is very important to properly protect your computer. If you fail to protect your computer properly, a program like totalprotect2009 could take advantage of you when you least expect it.

Totalprotect2009 is one of the latest rogue security applications that have been fooling people into spending their money on a worthless product. It tries to infect computers through rogue websites by trying to trick people into downloading a trial version, or it will simply load a trial version through a Trojan horse program.

Once totalprotect2009 has weaseled its way onto a computer, it floods the infected computer’s desktop with false security warnings. The warnings tell the user that malicious programs have infected their computer and that they need totalprotect2009 in order to remove them. If the user clicks on the warnings, then they will be taken to a website that sells this worthless program.

The amazing thing is that people have actually paid for totalprotect2009, even though it can be sold for nearly $80. Why they would pay that much money for a program that uses intrusive tactics to sell its product is beyond me. But people have bought it and they have discovered the truth. Totalprotect2009 does nothing to protect their computers and it will not remove any threats that may exist on their computers.

This scam isn’t a new one, though totalprotect2009 is one of the newer versions of it. This popular scam has been renamed and disguised over and over for the past several years. The prime culprit in this con game is the Russian Business Network, and every year they make millions of dollars by selling rogue security programs.

In order to remove totalprotect2009 manually, you would have to hunt down all of the files and folders that it had created and delete them. This would take quite a long time and would get tiresome really fast. The bad thing about manual removal is that if you don’t delete the Trojans that downloaded totalprotect2009 in the first place, it could be reinstalled the next time you start up your computer.

Therefore, you should use an antispyware program that you can trust. The antispyware will do all of the work or you and remove all of the threats, including totalprotect2009. However, when you are looking for an antispyware program for your computer there are some things that you should consider before paying for it.

Firstly, you should make sure that the program you are considering is an actual antispyware program. Research the company that sells it. If there isn’t any information, or only a little bit of information, then you should probably avoid their products. Once you have found a few companies that you can trust, compare what they have to offer. If their antispyware isn’t guaranteed to remove 100% of spyware from your computer, then it isn’t worth paying for because your computer deserves to have complete protection.
