Fake Applications Like Antivirusnumber1 Require Immediate Removal

Antivirusnumber1 is another rogue application designed to trick innocent PC users into spending their money. Although it claims to detect and remove infections and security threats, it can do no such thing. The messages users receive from these programs are simply made up, and attempt to frighten the user in to purchasing the licensed version of their product to remove threats and protect their computer. This is a scam that must be avoided.

Antivirusnumber1 is a malware in itself that should be removed promptly. This application installs via Trojans, and begins running each time Windows is started. It can be a danger not only to your computer, but your personal identity as well. Malicious software like this will track your online habits in order to learn what your interests and surfing habits are. This information is often sold to third parties. Occasionally, your passwords, credit card numbers and other private business information are collected. Therefore, you can understand why it is urgent that you remove these applications.

How will you know if this program exists on your PC? Most of these rogue programs cause a very noticeable slowing of your computer. You will also get bombarded by pop-up messages, warning that your security is at stake. What is the solution if you believe that a malicious application resides on your computer? You should locate a reliable antispyware product to remove it. The sooner you do this, the better. The longer these rogues are left on your PC, the more damage they can potentially cause.
