Firewall and Antivirus Software
Having the proper firewall and antivirus software can make a world of a difference. For all of you surf the internet without having proper protection, well watch out. There are tons of hackers out there waiting to make you their next target.
First, what is a firewall. Many people do not completely understand what a firewall is. A firewall is basically a gateway which allows or denies access. For example, let’s say your surfing the web and you accidently happen to land on a wrong website which downloads a Trojan onto your computer without you knowing. That Trojan could scan your computer and search for personal information. Once the information is found, such as credit card numbers, bank account numbers.. etc, it will relay the information to hackers online. However, with a firewall, the Trojan will not be able to communicate without permission. The firewall will stop the transmission of information and save your computer. This software is vital to your computers wellbeing.
Now onto antivirus and spyware. Many people are unaware of the importance of antivirus and spyware protection. What people do not understand is that these nasty bugs will download themselves onto your computer and wreak havoc. For example, rouge programs such as Antivirus System Pro can download itself onto your computer. This corrupted software will go about hijacking your computer, making it really slow and basically stop you from operating your system.
