Is AVAntispyware Installed on Your PC? Remove It Immediately
AVAntispyware is a rogue antispyware application that attempts to con users into purchasing the program for detection and removal of infections and threats that supposedly exist. Like other fake programs that are similar, this one should be removed as soon as you know it resides on your PC. It carries a fairly high threat danger, and is capable of causing damage to your computer and personal identity.
Like most other malicious applications, AVAntispyware can collect information about you and what you do when you are online. The search queries you perform and websites you visit are no secret from these programs. They gather this information in order to sell it to third parties who can then advertise their products and services to you through spam emails and other methods. Frequently, your personal information is at risk because some of these programs can get hold of your passwords, credit card numbers and other business information.
Where does AVAntispyware come from? It is installed on the user’s PC through Trojans that reside on malicious or questionable websites. These websites often invite the user to use their free scanners to detect infections and security threats. Of course, all of these programs are fake and cannot detect anything at all. Here is a scenario that describes what will likely happen:
Security alerts will be advertised to the user through pop-up windows. These messages will inform you that your security is in danger, and that infections and other threats are on your PC. This scare tactic is used to convince the user to scan their computer to remove these threats. Once done, you will be informed that infections are too severe, and that you must purchase the full version of the product in order for security to be restored. These bogus applications cannot detect or remove any infections that may exist.
Some of the symptoms you will notice if you become a victim are a slowing of your PC’s performance and a hijacked homepage to an obscure website. You may also notice flashing icons in your system tray, and you will definitely get bombarded by messages stating that your computer is infected. Once you are certain that AVAntispyware is installed on your PC, remove it immediately.
Although manual removal may be possible, it is not recommended unless you are a professional. Every related file must be deleted, and running processes killed. You run the risk of missing files that need to be deleted, because they can hide from the user. When this happens, your PC may be further damaged, occasionally to the point that it cannot be repaired.
The desired action is to use a reliable anti-spyware application for complete removal. The best program is 100% guaranteed to work with one scan. It will detect and remove all threats and infections, as well as protect from future security threats. Don’t risk the safety of your computer and personal identity – remove AVAntispyware at once!
