Malware Doctor Removal
A new category of malware programs has recently evolved, called “scareware”. Basically a “scareware” is a malicious rogue software program designed to trick victims into purchasing and downloading useless and potentially dangerous software. A scareware that infects a computer will start generating pop-up windows that look like legitimate Windows system messages pretending to be windows repair tools or anti-spyware programs. The rogue antivirus or repair tool malware executes a fake computer scan and warns the users that several viruses and other problems are found on their computer. Then they prompt the user to buy the rogue antivirus tool in order for the rogue antivirus to fix their computer problem. Needless to say that if the user pays the money, the rogue antivirus will not help them at all.
Malware Doctor (also known as MalwareDoc) is one of those scareware programs that infect millions of computers worldwide. You can get infected by Malware Doctor when browsing warez, adult or other shady websites, or when downloading peer-to-peer and other torrent files. When you see a pop-up window of a program pretending to by a legitimate antivirus with the name MalwareDoc then shut it down and remove it as soon as possible.
To succesfully remove Malware Doctor manually requires you to be an expert Windows user. Do not try manual removal if you don’t know what you are doing. 1. First of all find and stop all Malware Doctor windows running processes
2. Remove any associated DLL files
3. Search the registry and identify and remove any registry keys related with malware doctor.
4. Remove from the hard disk all folders and files where malware doctor was installed.
When you execute the above steps, reboot your computer and monitor its behaviour to see if anything suspicious happens in the future.
