Only You Can Protect Yourself from Spy Kill and the Other Rogues

Written by OSAblog on Thursday, July 16th, 2009

Those in the trenches of this battle against malware are beginning to see that there is no end in sight. This month they fight Spy Kill, but next month it might be the same program with just a different name. Basically all Spy Kill is, a conglomeration of several other rogue applications made to look new and yet familiar, which is a common disguise tactic that scammers use when creating rogue application. .

Spy Kill uses the same so called malware definitions as some past rogue applications. In this case these definitions are really vital parts of legitimate software that is installed on millions of computers. One such file it identifies as a threat is in fact a part of Adobe Photoshop and if it were to be deleted it would render Photoshop inoperable. Unlike other rogue applications this one actually performs scans of an infected computer, but it does not ever detect real threats nor can is remove actual threats.

Getting infected with rogue applications can frazzle anyone’s nerves and removing the problem can take hours to accomplish. Because each month there are more and more rogue applications being unleashed on the Internet, most professionals are starting to recommend that everyone install a trusted malware protection and removal program. If everyone would install a malware protection program on their computer it might start to deter scammers from creating more.

The main reason the war on malware is escalating has everything to do with money. Scammers are making millions each and every month infecting computers with rogue applications. They are easy to create and once they are let loose on the Internet they create passive income without the risks associated with other con jobs. There is really no way for any of the world’s law enforcement professionals to fight this battle.

The only way to insure your computer’s safety is to protect yourself and to stay informed. Never pay for any program that seems to have installed itself on your computer. If you think your computer is infected with any type of malware or viruses then take the time to research and install a trusted program.

If you are not currently protected from the growing threat associated with rogue applications spend some time protecting yourself now, before you get infected. If you are currently infected with Spy Kill or some other type of malware you will be better of enlisting the help of a 100% guaranteed malware protection and removal program. Take the time to find the best and only install a protection program that is 100% guaranteed.
