Protect Your PC from Antivirsystempro

Written by OSAblog on Thursday, June 18th, 2009

Owning a computer is a big responsibility. While it would be nice if they took care of themselves, this just isn’t the case. We must protect them from viruses, spyware, as well as scams that can affect us as well. Scams like Antivirsystempro are running rampant online, always seeking to steal what they can. However, if you properly protect your computer, then you won’t need to worry about them.

Antivirsystempro is a rogue antivirus application that has been created by cyber criminals. It has been designed to appear like a legitimate antivirus program, but in reality it is little more than a scam. It infects computers through rogue websites, security holes in browsers, and through Trojan horse applications without the user’s knowledge or permission.

Once Antivirsystempro has infected a computer, it will begin to deliver security warning messages. These messages will tell the user that their computer has been infected by viruses and that they should allow Antivirsystempro to scan the computer. If the user allows their computer to be scanned by this rogue, they will be presented with a list of fake viruses.

The list of infections that the user is presented with is a complete fraud, but it will be used to try to scare them into purchasing the full version of Antivirsystempro. The user will be told that the infections can’t be removed without paying up. However, the full version of Antivirsystempro is completely useless. It neither removes legitimate infections nor prevents them from invading.

On top of its lack of efficacy, Antivirsystempro will hinder the infected computer’s performance as well as slow down its Internet connection. It may reduce the user’s browser’s security settings, paving the way for more malware to infect their computer. As you can see, this rogue program is a serious threat to both your computer’s health and your pocketbook. This is why if your computer has been infected with Antivirsystempro, it should be removed as soon as possible.

Manually removing Antivirsystempro is one option, but it isn’t the best option. Trying to track down all of the files that it has created can be difficult and time consuming. Even if you were able to completely remove it manually, you would still have to deal with the Trojan that downloaded Antivirsystempro in the first place. Furthermore, there could be other malware on your PC that you are completely unaware of.

A better option for removing Antivirsystempro and any other malware would be to find an antispyware application that you can trust. Be wary when you are shopping because there are rogues out there. Be sure to research the company that makes the product you are considering. If there is little or no information on the company, then it is very probably that the product is just another scam. Once you have found an antispyware program that you can trust, be sure that it is guaranteed to remove 100% of spyware. Don’t settle for mediocre protection. If it doesn’t offer complete protection, then it isn’t worth buying.
