Remove Adware – How Adware Can Be Installed Legally Inside Your PC

Have you ever received a pop-up notification out of nowhere when surfing the internet? Or did you installed free software recently and your PC suddenly becomes slow?

Did you know that adware can be installed legally inside your computer?

Yes, it can be installed legally but before I proceed, let me explain to you what is adware. It is software that displays advertising relevant to your interests. How you can get infected by this kind of malicious software? Believe it or not, it’s because you yourself installed it when you install a free software.

Almost 99% of the people in the world never read the End User License Agreement (EULA) when installing a software. When installing a free software, it is included in their EULA that you need to install the adware together with their software. It is against their terms and condition if you refuse to install it.

One example is Kazaa. In the Kazaa EULA, it stated that you need to install the advertising software in order to use the free version of the software. If you want to remove the advertisement, you need to pay some amount of money and use the advertising-free paid version.

You innocently agree to this and install the free version. Therefore, you will get one installed in your PC. So, my advice is this, before you install any software, scan through their EULA first and make sure that they don’t install any malicious software with it. Adware consumes bandwidth and CPU usage because it gathers data from your PC and send it back to its base.

There is too much free software in the internet that includes malicious software inside their software. It’s up to us as the internet users to think wisely in order not to get infected. As the saying goes, we get what we paid for.
