Removing AdvancedVirusRemover from Your System

Written by OSAblog on Saturday, July 4th, 2009

One of the biggest problems with using computers is that cyberspace is virtually flooded with viruses and antispyware. One of the more prevalent of such malicious software goes by the name of AdvancedVirusRemover. This bad program causes computer users to experience a host of troubling issues. If you have not yet heard of this program consider yourself fortunate as this likely means that your system is not yet infiltrated. If you have heard of this program, on the other hand, it likely means that your system is infected and you are looking for a way to have it removed from your system. Whatever your circumstances may be, this article will be beneficial to you because it will not only explain how to remove it from your computer, but also help you avoid being taken advantage of by this malicious software.

This program belongs to a class of software known as rogue antispyware. This type of software reports problems to your system that in reality do not exist. You are probably asking yourself why any program would do such a thing and the answer to this is really quite simple – for money. The program reports threats to your system in an effort to instill fear in you. It hopes to play off this fear to incite you to purchase its largely useless product. You will know it if your system has been infected with this program because you will be bombarded with an onslaught of annoying pop up messages. These messages will warn you of several imminent threats to your system. They will proceed to explain that the only way to resolve your so-called issues is to download the full version. Please do not be fooled by this.

What the popup messages fail to explain is that the biggest threat to your system is AdvancedVirusRemover itself. While this program is on your system your system will go through many issues. To begin with, it will operate extremely slowly and sluggishly. Add-ons such as tool bars will be installed to your system without your consent. Your home page will routinely be reset to pages which you have no desire to visit. System scans and other programs will run without your permission. In short, your system will operate as if it has a mind of its own.

One of the biggest problems with this program is that it is installed via a Trojan horse virus. This means that until you do something to permanently clean your system the Trojan virus will continue to install other malicious programs to your system. Moreover, removing AdvancedVirusRemover manually from your system is insufficient because the Trojan will simply reinstall it once it is removed. As such, to effectively clean your system you will have to recruit the assistance of a program specifically designed for this end. While searching for such a product make sure you find one that is fully guaranteed to be effective. There is only one product of this kind and it offers a free system scan so you have much to gain from finding it.
