Security Mechanic Provides No Security!

Security Mechanic is a rogue security program that nonfunctional. Although the security alerts it displays to the user look very authentic and are often frightening, this product serves no purpose. Through the aggressive and misleading alerts, the hackers who invented the product hope to scare the user into believing that it is necessary to purchase the product in order to detect and remove all of the threats that supposedly exist.

Security Mechanic is often promoted through Trojan viruses and malicious software. It usually installs without your permission or knowledge, due to websites you may have visited, files you have downloaded, or even spam emails. You will realize you have a problem when you begin noticing that your PC is running slow, your browser redirects, and you are bombarded by incessant pop-up advertisements. Freeware, videos, music and game downloads are often responsible for these nasty parasites.

These malicious applications may disable system files that are necessary for your PC to function properly. Because they run in the background continuously, they use a large amount of system resources and memory. This is why your computer may be acting sluggish, or even freezing up. These rogue security programs also have the ability to place even more malware on your computer, and the problems will continue to worsen.

Security Mechanic may collect information about what you do when you are online. It can also gain access to personal passwords, credit card information and other business data. It is imperative that you remove this fake once it is detected. Failing to do so could results in not only a severely damaged PC, but stolen identity as well. Many people consider removing this application manually, but this is risky unless you are very experienced in detecting and deleting related files.

Malicious applications like these are can be very convincing. Always be cautious when you are online, and never download a program because of its looks. Looks can be deceiving!  To remove Security Mechanic and all other parasites that may reside on your PC, get a reputable antispyware tool that scans and detects infections, then removes them automatically with a simple scan.
