Should You Trust Antivirus09?
If you have been a PC user for long, you have no doubt heard of spyware. There are many malicious applications like Antivirus09 that claim they can remove it. Beware of these rogues, as they will install even more malware on your computer, causing more severe problems than you may already have. These programs are designed for one reason only – to steal innocent people’s money.
Antivirus09 is a program that usually gets contracted by visiting questionable websites. Trojans such as Vlob and Zundo are common culprits that spread this dangerous threat. The average PC user won’t realize that undesirable software has been placed on their PC until they begin noticing the symptoms. Common symptoms include being bombarded with pop-up ads and a slowing of your computer. You may also be blocked from visiting websites because your browser will redirect.
Is this application dangerous? Absolutely, these programs have the capability of securing access to private information. Your passwords, credit card numbers and other personal business account information may be accessed, putting your personal identity at risk. They may also collect information about what you do when surfing the internet – the sites you visit, searches you perform, etc.
What happens when Antivirus09 invades your PC? You will receive alerts informing you that infections and security threats exist on your computer. This is an attempt to get you to download a free scan to remove parasites and restore security. This is all fake and should be avoided. If you do download the scan, you will then be informed that the parasites are too severe and numerous, and cannot be completely removed without purchasing the fully licensed version of the product.
This program cannot detect any infections or threats, nor can it remove them. All messages and scan results displayed to the user are totally fake. Purchasing the product is a total waste of money, as Antivirus09 cannot do anything at all. Immediate removal is indicated to avoid further infections.
Manual removal is possible, but not recommended. When attempting to remove these malicious applications manually, every single related file must be deleted. If this is not done correctly, it will reinstall upon start up of PC. This puts your computer in further danger, as these programs will install additional malware; some so vicious they will damage your PC beyond repair.
A legitimate anti-spyware tool is recommended for removal of Antivirus09. Although many are available, most are not capable of totally removing the advanced malware that exists today – they are extremely tough to remove. Find one that guarantees 100% removal of all infections, worms, parasites and other threats the first time around.
