The Truth About Syscleanerpro
Everyone is, or should be, aware of the fact that they need to protect their computers from unscrupulous programs and underhanded individuals who are up to no good. Not everyone is aware, however, that one of the areas in which they should be keeping a close eye out for scams is that of legitimate looking computer security tools, especially those claiming to be effective at removing spyware or error codes. Programs like syscleanerpro are what is termed “rogue antispyware” which, in a nutshell, means that any claim of performance made by the program is not to be believed.
In all likelihood, computer security tools are considered prime real estate in which shady developers can make a quick buck because there are so many people searching for help in this area. The irony is that people are searching for security tools because they are scared of computer threats, and in their panic to find a program that will help them, they inadvertently download the very thing they are trying to avoid.
Rogue antispyware like syscleanerpro usually infects computers through a Trojan that has already opened a security hole on the machine. Users can also be infected by attempting to download video codec that is really malware in disguise, or by simply getting tricked into downloading a rogue that has successfully buffaloed the user into thinking it is useful. Either way, once on your machine syscleanerpro will attempt to convince you that you need to buy its “full version” in order to eradicate the myriad of threats that it claims to have found on your machine. This fabricated threat list is shoved in your face through a bombardment of pop ups and fake system alerts in hopes that you will eventually get so afraid, or annoyed, that you will eventually give up and go buy the non-functional full version that will do nothing but download more adware onto your machine and leave you down about $20.
Syscleanerpro will also stay resident in the background hogging your computer’s resources and connect to the Internet without your knowledge so that it can download more adware and send any information it has collected about you off to interested 3rd parties. Additionally, syscleanerpro will hijack your browser and redirect you to its sales pages anytime you try to do a search. It has also been known to delete critical system files on your machine in an effort to further convince you that you have damage to your computer that only it can fix. Either way about it, if you have been tangoing with syscleanerpro, you need to get it off your machine before it does more damage than it already has.
